Area Kiteboarding Guidelines

The Tampa Bay area is blessed to have unrestricted access to some of Florida's best kite boarding locations. Please help us preserve your right to kite with these simple, common sense guidelines. If you are a traveling kiter, ask one of our friendly locals about local kiting conditions and hazards, they will be happy to help you out!

Please stay out of all swimming areas along the Gulf Beaches, and give way to ALL water users.
Please do not teach your friends on our beaches- All area certified instructors do a great job, and would be happy to help your friend get into the sport safely.

On The Beach


Please observe the following beach courtesies:

• Do Not Launch or Ride in Crowded Areas.
  
• Do not fly over beach goers heads
  
• Always wind up your lines if kite is not in use.
• Do Not Leave Kite Unattended
• PLEASE LEASH AND CURB YOUR DOG!
• Please follow city & county park rules
  

On The Water


Keep the good times rolling with:

• Give way to kiters launching or entering
  
• Upwind Kiter=Kite High  Downwind=Kite Low
  
• Follow All Right Of Way Rules
  
• Give way to students or newer kiters
• Accept responsibility for your actions
  
• Please do not teach your friends on our beaches
