Gulf Beaches Downwinder Info
Hop on the Suncoast Beach Trolley and you can do 20 mile downwinders and explore all of the sweet riding spots all the way from from Clearwater to Pass-A-Grille! Bring $2.00 in quarters with you for a ride back upwind to your car!
The Trolley runs every 20 - 30 minutes from 5:05 a.m. to 10:10 p.m., Monday through Sunday, including holidays, with service until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Look for special trolley bus stop signs located frequently along the route. The cities that are not served are Kenneth City, Belleair Beach and Bellair Shore.
The bus and trolley fare is just $2.00 per ride, or ride all day with an Unlimited Daily GO Card. GO Cards are $4.50 and are available onboard the trolleys, buses, or at various locations countywide. The fare boxes are equipped to handle (dry!) $1, $5 and $10 bills but do not give change.
Trolley Tips:
- Kiteboarders should carry quarters in their harness, rather than wet dollar bills.
- You HAVE to have something on your feet to ride the trolley- socks or flip-flops will do.
- Pack down all gear as tight as possible.
- Brush off all sand from you and your gear.
